Anime distributor Funimation announced its new schedule of physical home video releases, which includes a bonus-filled limited edition of Attack on Titan: The Final Season - Part 1's Blu-ray release.
The first half of Attack on Titan's final season will be released in a special Limited Edition that contains a 32-page art digibook, five cards featuring art from the series, and three exclusive enamel pins. The Blu-rays will also feature extra bonus materials, including a panel starring the show's voice actors, multiple behind the scenes featurettes, textless opening and closing videos and two episodes of Attack on Titan Chibi Theater. The Limited Edition bundle has a suggested retail price of $84.99 USD, but can be preordered through Funimation now for $64.73 USD. The set will be released on Feb. 22, 2022.

Other highlights from the line-up include the Blu-ray and DVD release of Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, an animated romantic-comedy about a scuba-diving obsessed young man who agrees to work as a caretaker for a wheelchair-using artist. Funimation gave the movie a limited theatrical release in the summer of 2021, where it received an overwhelmingly positive reception from critics. February will also see the Blu-ray release of My Hero Academia's fourth season. The season originally aired from 2019 - 2020. The popular superhero anime recently wrapped up the broadcast of its fifth season and has already begun to hype up its sixth, which is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2022 and will adapt the manga's eventful Paranormal Liberation War arc.
Attack on Titan fans have plenty to look forward to, as The Final Season - Part 2's first episode recently premiered on Funimation's streaming service, as well as Crunchyroll and Hulu. Demand for the new episode was so high that it brought Crunchyroll's servers to their knees, briefly knocking out the popular streaming service on the first episode's premiere date, Jan. 9. New episodes of the series will be simulcast every Sunday until the series reaches its ultimate conclusion.
