Kotaku has uncovered new posters for the upcoming Japanese live-action adaptation of Attack on Titan, which shows the main cast in full costume, equipped with weapons, and a look at the possible environment of the film.
The movie stars Miura Haruma as Eren and Mizuhara Kiko as Mikasa -- both characters from the hit manga -- as well as Shu Wantanabe, Ayame Misaki and Rina Takeda as new characters Fukushi, Hiana and Lil. As Kotaku notes, the film appears to take place in a more modern location, as compared to the medieval-like fantasy world of Hajime Isayama's series. The film is slated for release in 2015.
Attack on Titan is a sales phenomenon in Japan, and certainly has its fair share of fans stateside. The popular manga recently crossed over with Marvel's Avengers in an eight-page story, and Universal Studios Japan is building a 49-foot statue as part of its "Universal Cool Japan" limited attraction.
