It's a wonder the world didn't implode when a meeting of the two titans of Attack on Titan happened.It was a legendary doubling of the Erens as YÅ«ki Kaji, the Japanese voice actor for the protagonist Eren Yeager, posted a photo of himself with Bryce Papenbrook, the English voice actor for Eren, on Twitter. The two met when Kaji was in Los Angeles for a Google Pixel event called "Another Sky." In the photo, Kaji says that his feelings for being a voice actor have grown strong again after reuniting with Papenbrook. Papenbrook replied to Kaji and was equally complimentary in his comments, saying, "It was [an] honor to connect with you." He continued, "I hope I have the privilege of sharing more roles with you in the future. It would be incredible if our paths cross again."

The two voice actors have crossed paths before -- and not only in their roles as Eren for Attack on Titan. During the 2018 Anime Expo, the two of them were part of the panel for Season 3 of Attack on Titan where they discussed the upcoming season and their experiences. In their voice acting work, Kaji and Papenbrook voiced the protagonist Meliodas and his younger brother Zeldris from The Seven Deadly Sins and Wataru Asahina from Brothers Conflict. Outside of their anime roles, the two have also voiced the Crimson King in the action RPGYs IX: Monstrum Nox.

What Is Attack on Titan?

Created by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan is one of the most popular manga series. Set in a world where human beings are trapped behind a walled city that protects them from getting devoured by enormous man-eating giants called Titans, Attack on Titan has over 110 million tankōbon copies worldwide as of September 2022. Adapted by Wit Studio and directed by Tetsurō Araki, the first season premiered in 2013 while the second and third season, with Masashi Koizuka at the helm, premiered in 2017 to 2019. The adaptation switched studios to MAPPA for the fourth season as Wit Studio declined to animate it due to scheduling issues. The fourth season was split into three parts with the first two parts airing in 2021 and 2022, respectively. The final part of Season 4 will premiere in 2023.
