The comedic spinoff manga "Attack on Titan: Junior High" will be adapted as an anime series, premiering in October on Japanese television. Watch the first trailer below.

Debuting in 2012 in Kodansha's "Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine," the spinoff by Saki Nakagawa follows characters from Hajime Isayama's hit manga as they face the fearsome giants while students at Titan Junior High School.

The anime is produced by Production I.G. and directed by Yoshihide Ibata.

Kodansha will release the eighth volume of "Attack on Titan: Junior High" in Japan on Aug. 7. Kodansha Comics began publishing the series last year in the United States.
