It has been over ten years since Attack On Titan was first released and it is now almost at its end. Throughout the series, many beloved characters have died and very few remain. Fans are excited to see how the manga will finish and are expecting more of their favorite soldiers and warriors to perish.
Anything can happen and nobody knows what Hajime Isayama is planning, but that doesn't mean that readers aren't theorizing on who will live until the end and who will die in the final battle. Some characters are more likely to survive the Rumbling than others. Unless something unexpected happens, these ten characters' fates may have already been written.
10 Die: Zeke
While thinking of a plan to stop Eren without killing him, the Survey Corps and Warrior Unit realized that they could kill Zeke instead. Since Eren's goal only became a reality after the two made contact, the Rumbling may stop if Zeke was removed from Eren's titan. However, as the final battle began, the Beast Titan appeared and threw rocks at Eren's opponents.
Since Zeke's goal was to alter the Eldians' bodies so that they could no longer have children, he is most likely being controlled by Eren. It will be difficult for them to take remove Zeke but this seems to be their best chance at saving the world.
9 Live: Annie
Since Annie's return, she has not wanted to fight against Eren and decided to leave her comrades, giving up hope on her goal. However, when Falco told her that he was able to see a former Beast Titan inheritor's memory of flying, readers learned that Annie is able to obtain powers that are used by the other Nine Titans.
Annie may end up flying into the final battle, helping her friends. It would be interesting to see the first main antagonist of the series become the savior of the world.
8 Die: Levi
Though many fans would be devastated if Levi died, he is one of the most likely members of the group to be killed off. He may be humanity's strongest soldier, but after his fight against Zeke, he isn't in the best condition to fight against Eren and hundreds of Colossal Titans.
He lost two of his fingers and his face is badly damaged. His decision to keep fighting in this state may come back to haunt him if he dies. However, if he does, the Ackerman Clan may not end there.
7 Live: Mikasa
If there is anyone that Eren would spare, it would be Mikasa. She has been a friend and sister to him throughout the series, always taking care of him. Though he pretended to despise her, the Survey Corps realized that this was all an act.
Besides the two not wanting to fight each other, Mikasa is incredibly strong and unlike her relative, is in fine condition to fight. It would surprise both the characters and the readers if she was killed.
6 Die: Reiner
Not too long ago, Reiner wanted to die. He almost killed himself and put himself in situations where he could have been killed. Though he has agreed to join the allies he made and stop the Rumbling alongside them, it wouldn't be surprising if part of his reason was so that he could die in their place.
When someone needed to delay the Rumbling for a few seconds, he offered to be sacrificed before Hange stopped him. He may finally get his chance to die as the hero he always wanted to be, especially if he were to save his little cousin.
5 Live: Gabi
When she was first introduced, fans did not like Gabi. She was ignorant and killed Sasha, making her one of the most hated characters in the series. However, Hajime Isayama has given her an important role and a lot of the most recent volumes have revolved around her.
It is unlikely that she would die when there is still so much she could do, such as inheriting the Armored Titan, getting revenge on Eren, and reuniting with her family. In fact, due to her connection to Eren and how she was developed, it wouldn't be surprising if she was the one to stop him.
4 Die: Historia
Though she was in the spotlight earlier in the series, Paradis' queen has not been around much lately. Fans have speculated that she will die while giving birth and it seems that the time has finally come. As many Eldians see Eren as their leader instead of her, it would make sense for him to become their new king. Hajime Isayama has revealed what is expected to be the final panel in the series. A man, who most people think is Eren, holds up a baby and says "you are free."
This child could be Historia's child, but as she would be an infant when her mother passes, Eren would become Paradis' ruler, which would also explain why he made his decisions despite knowing what they would lead to.
3 Live: Ymir
Though Ymir Fritz died centuries ago in the physical world, she lived on in the Coordinate. She was forced to do whatever her descendants demanded as she remained connected to the Founding Titan, which was passed down each generation of the Fritz family.
However, when Eren arrived at the Coordinate, he may have been able to free her as she seems to be in control of her own actions in recent chapters. When Eren comes out of his titan, she may join him on Earth for the first time in nearly 2,000 years.
2 Die: Eren
As the main protagonist has become the world's greatest enemy, Attack On Titan will most likely end with either him dying or every nation except for Paradis being destroyed. Manga readers know that the reason he is using the Rumbling is because he is able to see the future and wants it to become a reality. Every move that he made for years was for this one goal but nobody knows what it is.
It would be surprising if part of the future he sees also kills him. After all, everyone he cared about that is still alive has ended their fights with each other in order to save the world. This could have been his plan the entire time.
1 Live: Armin
From the very beginning, fans have expected Armin to live. He narrates the story in the anime and has survived in the most unlikely circumstances. If he were to die, it would raise a lot of questions and confuse fans as they have always believed that he is the only character that would not be able to die in the series.
Though he will not live a long life as he is the Colossal Titan, he will survive the battle against Eren.
