Crunchyroll released a trailer for the final episode of Attack on Titan: The Final Season - Part 2.

The trailer shows humanity making its last stand against the former-hero Eren Jaeger and his destructive "Rumbling" plan, and teases the possibility of even more major characters dying before the TV series wraps up. Episode 87 of the series, entitled "The Dawn of Humanity," will be simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation on April 3. The English dub of the episode will premiere on May 1.
Crunchyroll describes the episode with the following synopsis:
The war for Paradis zeroes in on Shiganshina just as Jaegerists have seized control. After taking a huge blow from a surprise attack led by Eren, Marley swiftly acts to return the favor. With Zeke’s true plan revealed and a military forced under new rule, this battle might be fought on two fronts. Does Eren intend on fulfilling his half-brother’s wishes or does he have a plan of his own?
While the episode will mark the end of The Final Season - Part 2, many fans do not believe that it will be the true ending of the series, as the anime still has several manga chapters worth of content left to adapt. While it is possible that the anime series' final release will compress all of that story into a single episode, many have speculated that the conclusion of the series will be followed up by the announcement of a new animated special or movie that will feature the actual end of the story.
Attack on Titan: The Final Season - Part 2 has been one of the biggest anime releases of 2022 so far. The half-season's premiere episode in January attracted so much attention that it briefly brought anime streaming service Crunchyroll offline, as demand for the new season overwhelmed the platform's servers.
Attack on Titan was created by Hajime Isayama and debuted in 2009. The original manga was a massive commercial success, achieving a worldwide circulation of over 100 million copies. The series has also been popular with critics, earning praise for its tense storytelling and memorable cast of characters. Isayama published the final chapter of the series in 2021, and despite a mixed reaction to the finale, the series continues to be one of the biggest entertainment franchises to emerge out of Japan in the last 20 years.
