Confirming the May 12 North American release of Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains, Atlus USA has debuted a new trailer showcasing the characters that appear in the Nintendo 3DS game. As fans of the manga and anime might expect, there's Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Sasha and, of course, Levi.

Announced in April, Humanity in Chains is an enhanced version of the Spike Chunsoft game previously available only in Japan. Players defend the Walls as one of the characters from the hit anime, or they can create their own. They’re also able to transform into a Titan for short periods.

Atlus notes that because of copyright issues, the game will be called Shingeki No Kyojin: Humanity in Chains in Europe; there's no European launch date yet.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains will be available for download for $39.99 from the Nintendo 3DS eShop beginning May 12.

Play as the main cast and interact with the characters that you know and love. However, living in a world filled with Titans means that you’ll have to fight to survive! Use your speed to control the omni-directional mobility gear and your brain to find opportunities to attack! If you can’t do it alone, recruit your friends and go Titan hunting through the online co-op mode. Don’t underestimate these Titans though—their behavior is erratic and will require every ounce of ability from you as you make a last stand for the human race.
