With Assassin's Creed Valhalla set for release on next-generation consoles this November, Ubisoft has released a new trailer showcasing the upcoming video game's story as the franchise moves into Northern Europe.

Set in 873 A.D., the game follows a Viking warrior named Eivor who becomes embroiled in the eternal shadow war between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order. As Eivor leads his fellow Scandinavian raiders in an invasion of England, he is quickly introduced to the rival Anglo-Saxon kingdoms through the British Isles, each with their own memorable leaders and cultures.

Featuring picturesque landscapes of the countryside and plenty of medieval action, the trailer shows the Templars charging into battle as the Vikings attempt to establish their new home in Britain. Besieged, Eivor is approached by the Assassins to help change the course of England's destiny.

Ubisoft recently announced it had moved up the release date for the Xbox Series X/S version of Valhalla to coincide with the current-gen and PC console release dates, as the fan-favorite franchise officially moves to the next generation.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be released on Nov. 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia. The PlayStation 5 version will be released on Nov. 12.
