Assassin's Creed appears to be receiving a new horror-oriented campaign tentatively titled Codename: Hexe, as a part of Assassin's Creed Infinity.

Codename: Hexe was shown at the September 2022 Ubisoft Forward showcase. It appears to be a horror-tinged Assassin's Creed experience, and will be released as a part of Infinity. Leaker Tom Henderson recently reported that Codename: Hexe would be set in 16th-century Europe and focus on witch-hunts, a claim which seems to be corroborated by a very witchy title card.

Assassin's Creed Infinity, a live-service game featuring several different Assassin's Creed stories, has been the subject of much speculation and many leaks over the last several months. As the series' first foray into the live-service model, Infinity is expected to bring some major shakeups to the series' formula. Some industry insiders have suggested that Assassin's Creed Red, an unnanounced but reportedly Japan-set Assassin's Creed game, would actually be released as a campaign within Infinity, which will act as something of a central platform for new, smaller stories that might otherwise become full games. Those rumors have seemingly been confirmed by a teaser shown at Ubisoft Forward which showed off Codename: Red as a title in Infinity, which has been described as a "hub" for Assassin's Creed stories. Other settings for Assassin's Creed Infinity have also been rumored by industry insiders and reporters. Codename: Hexe will be one of those settings and will act as a full-fledged AC game.

Infinity is not the only Assassin's Creed title seemingly in the works. Footage from a virtual reality game called Assassin's Creed Nexus surfaced on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, an unofficial gaming news subreddit, earlier in 2022. Nexus, unlike a traditional Assassin's Creed game, is reportedly comprised of short, linear levels, each of which focuses on a different assassin or story from throughout the series' history. There will seemingly be multiple different playable assassins, but the differences between the characters will be minimal, largely amounting to different models for players to look at when they catch sight of their hands and different names for NPCs to say. Assassin's Creed Nexus is expected to launch in the near future on the Meta Quest 2 (formerly known as the Oculus Quest 2).

Another leaked game, Assassin's Creed Rift, was recently confirmed under the name Assassin's Creed Mirage and is expected to arrive in the near future. According to Ubisoft, Mirage is a more traditional Assassin's Creed title than Infinity or Nexus, but it will be significantly smaller in scope than a mainline series entry like Assassin's Creed Origins, instead acting as a spinoff in the same vein as Assassin's Creed Liberation. Mirage is a spinoff of Assassin's Creed Valhalla centered around Basim, a beloved NPC from Valhalla. Unlike Valhalla's Nordic setting, Mirage will apparently take place primarily in Baghdad, a new setting for the series. Despite being the kind of small-scale title fans might expect as an expansion for Infinity, Assassin's Creed Mirage is apparently totally unrelated to the live-service project.

Assassin's Creed Codename: Hexe will launch as a part of Infinity sometime in the future.
