Aspen Launches "Soulfire: New World Order Beginnings" at Wizard World

Descending upon the city of brotherly love, Aspen Comics will be marking Wizard World Philadelphia 2007 with a host of new title launches and rare exclusive Aspen Comics releases. Setting off the list of premieres, Aspen is ecstatic to offer fans a special 'first buy' opportunity to experience the brand new action-adventure series, "Iron and the Maiden." Drawn from the imaginative vision of Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter creator Jason Rubin, "Iron and the Maiden" is brought to life through the brilliant designs of industry giants Joe Madureira and Jeff Matsuda, and features artwork by Francis Manapul with Joel Gomez, and colors by Danimation. The debut of the exciting first chapter of the saga, "Iron and the Maiden #0," will only be available at the Aspen Comics booth #801, and features an exclusive Michael Turner and Francis Manapul illustrated jam cover limited to only 3000 copies.

Aspen will also be ushering in a new age of magic, mayhem, and murder with the launch of their latest mini-series, "Soulfire: New World Order." The exclusive Wizard World Philadelphia "Soulfire: New World Order Beginnings" #1 issue, limited to only 2500 copies, makes its debut at the convention, and offers fans an all-new original tale and a special sneak peek at the unique series. Renowned international artist Francisco Herrera and colorist extraordinaire Leonardo Olea, team with veteran "Soulfire" scribe J.T. Krul, to bring to life the return of magic to the "Soulfire" universe.

Aspen is also taking part in Marvel Comics huge summer event, "World War Hulk," with the release of the highly limited Aspen Comics Exclusive "World War Hulk" #1. Written by Greg Pak, and showcasing pulse-pounding artwork by acclaimed artist John Romita Jr., "World War Hulk" is sure to be one of the biggest (and greenest!) hits of the year! The Aspen Comics Exclusive "World War Hulk" #1 features an all-new incredible cover by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, and is limited to only 5000 total printed copies.

Wizard World advance ticket holders will also experience not one, but two special "Fathom" Wizard World incentive titles, available only at the convention. A special "Fathom: Kiani" #2 Wizard World incentive is available for advance ticket holders, and an exclusive "Fathom: Killian's Vessel" #1 will be given to Wizard World VIP ticket holders (check out Wizarduniverse.com for more details!). Both books will feature an all-new cover by Fathom creator Michael Turner and colors by Peter Steigerwald.

In addition to these highly limited world premiere debuts and exclusive books, Aspen will also be releasing all new original art prints, featuring the latest and most requested Aspen artwork. Join Aspen's Peter Steigerwald in his latest coloring class, as he takes you beyond the standard coloring fundamentals and fills you in on what's needed to become a comic book colorist. From his work at DC, to the current Soulfire series, and his most recent Marvel covers, Peter explains how to become one of the top colorists in the business! This class is definitely not to be missed or for the faint of heart!
