Aspen Comics Tour Kicks Off With WonderCon

Aspen Comics is set to begin their convention season in the Bay Area at Wonder Con 2010 in the Moscone Center April 2nd - 4th. Aspen creators Frank Mastromauro, Peter Steigerwald, Vince Hernandez, Joe Benitez, and J.T. Krul will be headlining the Aspen Comics Booth #513 all weekend long to sign autographs, meet with the fans, and preview Aspen's upcoming releases and projects.

Along with their appearance, the Aspen crew is bringing two new Wonder Con 2010 exclusives books to the show. Aspen will be offering an Executive Assistant: Iris #4 Wonder Con 2010 edition cover limited to 500 copies only. Executive Assistant: Iris is created by Michael Turner, David Wohl and Brad Foxhoven.

In addition to Iris, Aspen will be offering a Soulfire #3 Wonder Con 2010 Exclusive Edition variant limited to only 500 copies. Soulfire writer J.T. Krul will be available all weekend at the Aspen Comics booth to sign copies. Soulfire is created by Michael Turner.

The industry's most popular line of comic prints returns this season with an all-new series of in-demand Aspen covers as well as the first edition of the best-selling Aspen Convention Tour Print 2010. This year's new crop of prints features artwork by industry superstars Micahel Turner and Joe Benitez, and the sought after Scott Clark Fathom: Blue Descent Aspen Print. Each print is limited to only 75 signed and numbered editions.

Aspen will be holding portfolio reviews for new talent on Friday and Saturday in Room 214. Editor-In-Chief Vince Hernandez will be reviewing portfolios, offering advice for aspiring artists, and providing valuable tips for improving your portfolio and samples. Any artists looking to get their foot in the door in the comics industry are welcome to attend.
