Mimi Rogers has joined "Ash vs Evil Dead," Starz's upcoming television sequel to the cult horror series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran actress, who recently appeared in episodes of "Mad Men" and "NCIS," will play Suzy Maxwell, the mother of Kelly (series regular Dana DeLorenzo), described as "a moody wild child trying to outrun her past." Suzy will be reunited with her family and several uninvited guests after a freak accident.

The series sees Bruce Campbell return to his iconic role as Ash Williams, who’s spent the past three decades avoiding maturity, and the terrors of the Evil Dead. But when a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, he’s forced to face his demons — both metaphorical and literal. The cast also includes Lucy Lawless, Jill Marie Jones and Ray Santiago.

Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Campbell are producing the 10-episode series, which is shooting now in New Zealand. "Ash vs Evil" Dead is set to premiere this fall on Starz.
