Ash has had a lot of bad luck when it comes to Pokémon League tournaments. He'll often make it past the preliminaries only to be eliminated when he and his opponent are both down to their last Pokémon. Like any good Trainer, he's probably looked back on these losses and thought about what he could have done differently.

Given a chance to go back to a Leauge loss and try again, Ash might just take it. Most of them came down to the wire when they might not have needed to. Here's how likely he'd want to redo each League.

Ash pleads with the misbehaving Charizard in the Pokemon anime

As heartbreaking as this loss was, it's not something Ash could do anything about. In his Top 16 match against Ritchie, both of them were down to their last Pokémon, Charizard and Sparky. However, Charizard, not seeing a challenge, refused to battle and took a nap right on the field.

This was back when Ash couldn't get Charizard to listen to any of his commands, which wouldn't change until late into Ash's Orange League challenge. Redoing this League wouldn't make Charizard any more obedient. The best he could do was switch up his team and not rely on his ace.

Ash's Charizard vs Harrison's Blaziken in Pokémon

Ash's battle with Harrison was a pretty even one. The exchange of Pokémon that were knocked out was about even; for each one of Ash's Pokémon that took out one of Harrison's, one of Harrison's took out one of Ash's; likewise, if one of Ash's Pokémon was ineffective, so, too, was one of Harrison's. The only exception to this was the very end when Harrison's Blaziken beat both Ash's Bayleef and Charizard. Regardless, Ash fought this battle about as hard as he could have. Additionally, since this was only his second League, there weren't many other Pokémon he could've used.

Ash's Pikachu vs Tyson's Meowth in the Pokémon anime.

Like his fight with Harrison, Ash's battle with Tyson was about even throughout. The only real snags came from the Metagross and the Meowth in boots. Other than that, Ash's team did pretty well against Tyson's.

However, Ash's choice of Pokémon wasn't his only one. Ash had the option to use any of the Pokémon he'd captured during his travels through Kanto and Johto. Despite this, he limited himself to his Hoenn team for this battle. It's possible that with different Pokémon, he could have won this match. Since Tyson ended up winning the Conference, Ash might have also won.

Sceptile vs Darkrai

This League is probably out of the question. The main reason Ash lost was that his opponent, Tobias, was using powerful Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, most notably Darkrai. He needed four Pokémon to take down the Pitch-Black Pokémon and lost his last three taking down Tobias' second Pokémon, Latios. Even if Ash had brought his best possible team at the time, he would probably still lose.

It's worth noting that if Ash had somehow beaten Tobias, he might have won the League. This was a seminal match, and the finalist couldn't beat Darkrai. Had Ash fought him, he'd probably win.

Pokemon Ash vs Cameron

This is definitely one Ash could benefit from redoing. His opponent Cameron only brought five Pokémon to the battle because of a misunderstanding. On top of that, two of Ash's Pokémon managed to beat four of Cameron's. However, Cameron's Hydreigon beat both his Boldore and his Oshawott before finally losing to Pignite. Furthermore, his recently-evolved Lucario took out Ash's Unfeazant, Snivy, and Pikachu. Also, Ash kept his Pignite in against a Samurott and lost it. Ash's six Pokémon essentially fell to three of Cameron's. If he had battled better, he could have gone on to fight Virgil in the semifinals.

Ash Greninja vs. Mega Charizard, Pokemon

Ash lost in the finals when it was down to his Greninja and Alain's Charizard. He might have done better if he had swapped out his Noivern and Goodra. Both of these Pokémon fought hard, but neither of them was able to beat even one of Alain's Pokémon. As determined as Ash apparently was to stick with Pokémon he'd caught in Kalos, he probably should have made an exception here; it was the closest he'd ever gotten to winning a League. If Ash was limited to redoing one League match he could have won, this would be his best option.
