A major announcement is coming next week at Marvel Comics, and multiple creators have been hyping up the news online. The news began with Donny Cates (Venom, Thor), making a cryptic announcement on Twitter. "Man, I've having so much fun on this new Marvel book I'm doing," Cates wrote. "I can't wait anymore...I'm just going to go ahead and announce it next week." Ryan Ottley (Invincible, Amazing Spider-Man) chimed in, saying, "I doubt Marvel would be MORE mad if you just announced it NOW compared to next week. Just tell them, Donny!"RELATED: Spider-Man's Sinister War Concludes, Black Panther Relaunches and More in Marvel's August Solicitations

Marvel's Editor-In-Chief C.B. Cebulski appeared to chastise Cates and Stegman, saying they talked about the timing of the announcement. Soon other creators chimed in, teasing announcements of their own. The creators who made announcements include Ram V (Justice League Dark) and Bryan Hitch (The Ultimates, Justice League of America), alongside Al Ewing (Guardians of the Galaxy, Immortal Hulk) and Tom Taylor (X-Men Red, Injustice).

The nature of the project remains under wraps. However, the creators have other Marvel-related projects either wrapping up or in the works. Taylor and artist Iban Coello previously worked on a story titled Dark Ages for Marvel's Free Comic Book Day 2020 special, which plunged the Marvel Universe into a technology-free era. Cates and artist Ryan Stegman have Venom #200 slated to go on sale on June 16, concluding their critically-acclaimed run on the Lethal Protector.
