A new entry in the field of nostalgia-based art comes in the form of Monster Edition, a zine featuring more than 40 artists giving their take on books from beloved children's horror series Goosebumps.

Using the titles of the many (62!) books from R.L. Stine's original series as a springboard, the more than 40 Monster Edition contributions -- selected by Toronto-based artists Jennifer Ilet and Sabrina Parolin -- range from similarly silly to surreal, to actually pretty scary.

Here's Sam Heimer's "Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns":

And Jenn Woodall's "The Werewolf of Fever Swamp":

More can be seen on the Monster Edition Tumblr; the book is scheduled for release this month. CBR TV spoke with Stine at last fall's New York Comic Con.
