UPDATE 7/7/2015 6:15 PM PT: A statement by Arthur Suydam on this past weekend's Montreal Comiccon controversy that previously appeared in this article has been removed at the request of his booking agent and the Montreal Comic Con. The statement, which was sent to multiple individuals in the comic book industry including a CBR reporter, cited a day-before-show change in floor plans as the reason for the issue, in which Suydam was accused of stealing other comics creator's tables at the convention's Artist Alley. The statement also alleged potential tension between American and Canadian artists at the show. Suydam's agent subsequently informed CBR that the email was not intended for publication.

This past weekend, noted zombie artist Arthur Suydam, best known for his "Marvel Zombies" covers presenting zombie-fied versions of famous Marvel imagery, was at the center of a controversy at this year's Montreal Comiccon. Suydam was accused of taking over four Artist Alley tables intended for other creators, something that comic pros including Jim Zub alleged was habitual behavior from the artist.

CBR received a statement midday Tuesday issued via email by Suydam to multiple parties addressing the controversy.
