Official Press Release

For the first time in the history of the wildly popular Heroes Convention Charlotte, the same artist will be featured on a limited edition poster two years running.

It's another record in a year of records for "Marvel Zombie" cover artist Arthur Suydam, as Heroes announces that he will be providing a spectacular piece to be given away FREE to every attendee of their show.

Last year, Suydam's renowned Batman oil painting, "Moon Walk" wowed folks in Charlotte, and went on to be featured on numerous magazine covers including "Alter Ego," with talks of a limited edition giclee in the wind. ("Moon Walk" is currently on display at the Society of Illustrators in NYC from June 28-July 29th.)

Now, outdoing himself even, Suydam's newest Heroes offering harkens to the current "Marvel Zombie" craze that has been sweeping the country as issue after issue goes back to press a record number of times, each reprint featuring a horrifically escalating Suydam zombie tribute to covers from the past-- no doubt helping to break those records in a large way.

Keeping that theme, the 2006 Charlotte poster is a gorified rendition of none other than "Captain America #100."

"I couldn't believe it when the piece came in," said convention promoter Shelton Drum. "It was exactly what we wanted. People are going to go crazy over this poster."

Heroes Con runs from June 30th to July 2nd. This exclusive retooling of the classic "Captain American #100" cover is available while supplies last. Check out www.heroesonline.com to see how you can order your tickets…and poster…in advance.
