Ever since actor Tyler Hoechlin stepped into Superman's red boots on The CWs Arrowverse, appearing as the character on The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl, some fans have been wondering if he would transition into playing the character in DC's cinematic universe, especially with the reports that Man of Steel star Henry Cavill would be leaving the franchise. In case you were wondering what Hoechlin himself has to say about all of this, he's finally addressed the rumors.

According to ComicBook.com, Hoechlin was actually surprised to hear that some fans have suggested him as Cavill's replacement, adding that he found it "very flattering, very flattering. I appreciate the support."

He has his reasons to be surprised, since, as he pointed out, people didn't immediately warm up to hearing he'd be playing the role on television in the first place, adding, “First time, ‘Who? Who’s this guy? What, why? No, no, please God, no.’ No, the support has been great...It’s been very nice to receive the, I guess, the reception that the character’s had."

But will Hoechlin be reprising the role in movies? At this point, even he doesn't know what can happen. “Who knows? You never know," he said. "You never know what’s gonna happen in this crazy world.”
