Although it was always a show full of action-packed scenes and a lot of drama, Supergirl also gave its fans many moments that made them fall in love with the characters time and again. These scenes, full of love, compassion, and kindness, soon became the heart and soul of the whole series.

10 Barry Allen Travels To Earth-38 And Meets Kara

Supergirl and The Flash in Worlds Finest

One of the moments that cemented the Arrowverse as a whole is when the Flash met Supergirl during "Worlds Finest". In this episode, Barry traveled to Earth-38 by accident and met Kara after saving her from falling from a building. Even though they are both taken aback in confusion at the beginning, soon they discover an ally in each other, as well as a shared passion for food.

Since Barry and Kara are so good-hearted by nature, it is not surprising that their friendship is also filled with very wholesome moments. Another great example of their dynamic is The Flash episode "Duet", which showcases them as singers during an attack by Music Meister.

9 Alex Comes Out Of The Closet

Alex Danvers from Supergirl

One of the fandom's favorite arcs in the show is Alex's coming-out story. Once Maggie enters her life, Alex understands her sexuality and after making peace with herself, she looks for support from her sister. Kara's first reaction is one of confusion, which angers Alex.

Regardless, after a heart-to-heart on the matter, the Girl of Steel lets her sister know that she's not alone and they both share a hug and a beautiful conversation. This coming-out story remains in many Supergirl fans' hearts together with many other LGBTQ+ moments in the DC Universe, like Nia's coming out as Dreamer and as a trans woman.

8 Cat Grant Gives Supergirl A Lesson On Happiness

There are several moments in the show when Cat Grant hits Kara with her wisdom, but very few where Supergirl is the recipient of said lessons. During "Resist," after Mon-El and Lena get trapped in an alien spaceship about to be blown up, Supergirl faces a tough decision: choosing between the people she loves and the greater good.

While the hero is affected by this, Cat Grant reminds her that true happiness can only be found in human connection and encourages her to keep fighting to rescue her boyfriend and her best friend. Another motivational moment during this episode occurs when Ms. Grant uses a speech to inspire National City to resist the alien invasion.

7 Supergirl and Superman Get Honest With Each Other

As two of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, it is not a surprise that Kal-El and Kara tend to avoid showing vulnerability. Because of this, those moments when they show their feelings are very much appreciated.

After Argo's destruction during the Crisis of Infinite Earths crossover, Superman and his cousin share a conversation about the nature of their powers and the responsibilities that they both carry on their shoulders. While Clark feels defeated, Kara believes they can still save the world and delivers a speech that reminds Superman how important their fight is. A very fitting attitude for the Paragon of Hope.

6 Kara Shows Appreciation To J'onn And Alex For Sharing Her Journey

During the last scene of the 100th episode of the show, Kara shares a special moment with her sister Alex and with J'onn J'onzz, their former boss and father figure, also known as Martian Manhunter. During dinner, Kara reflects on how much Alex and J'onn have helped her since she became Supergirl and lets them know how much she appreciates it.

They both agree that the affection is mutual and the three of them toast with french fries and a hearty "Stronger Together," the House of El's emblematic phrase. This moving scene is very fitting to end a special episode since the three of them share screen time from the very beginning, no matter how much the show has changed.

5 Kelly And Alex Adopt Esme And Promise To Love Her Forever

Nothing says heartwarming like a loving family! After being left behind by her adoptive family, Esme finally finds motherly love in Alex and Kelly, who decide to expand their family once they meet the Dyralian girl.

With Esme and her soon-to-be wife, Kelly, Alex finally obtains the family she always wanted. She doesn't take this for granted and pledges to always love and protect Esme, who thinks she will be abandoned again. It takes a bit for the girl to trust the affection of her new moms, but she soon understands how unconditional their love for her is.

4 Alex And Kara Have Sisterly Couch Talks

It's not possible to choose only one of the couch talks Alex and Kara shared during the entire show. Whether it was for a movie, a snack, a light conversation about their day or to support each other during hardship, the couch at Kara's apartment was their favorite spot.

In fact, the Danvers sisters shared so much on this couch that even the actresses acknowledged the sofa as a central part of their relationship. Even though Alex Danvers is not a comic book character, she has become truly important, and there's no doubt that some of the most touching moments on the show were shared by Alex and Kara on this piece of furniture.

3 Supergirl Delivers A Speech About Hope And Breaks Everyone Free

Even though Kara Zor-El is one of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe, she constantly shows that her true strength comes from within. Her ability to inspire hope and compassion in others, and to empower them, is as necessary as her superpowers in her fight against evil.

During "Better Angels," Supergirl uses this gift to make one of the most uplifting speeches in the Arrowverse. After reminding National City that hope should never be lost, Kara manages to break everyone's minds free from Myriad and ruins Non and Indigo's plan to conquer earth.

2 Lena And Kara Have A Make-Up Moment

One of the most important relationships for Kara Danvers is the one she has with Lena Luthor. Even though it gets shaky for a moment when Lena feels betrayed by Kara's secret, the two of them reconcile in a moving scene where they both pour their hearts out.

While Lena explains that she understands the reasons behind Kara's actions and that she acted out of grief, Kara admits that Lena has never let her down. They end their conversation with a shared mission to destroy Lex and with a symbolic handshake. After this, their bond grows so strong that, in the finale, Lena is one of the people that inspires Kara to reveal her identity.

1 Supergirl Reveals Her True Identity To The World

As everyone knows, there is nothing more important for a superhero than protecting their identity. Regardless, this double life can also become a burden. This is what happens to Kara, who spends most of the series struggling with her double life. Finally, after six seasons, she gets tired of hiding in plain sight.

By the end of the show, Kara decides to show her true self to the world, and, of course, she chooses Catco as the platform to do so. The final moment of Supergirl is a moving scene that shows Cat Grant introducing Kara Zor-El to the world while the Girl of Steel wholeheartedly smiles at the camera, finally happy to be who she truly is.
