A new image from the set of "Elseworlds," the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, reunites Superman and Supergirl.
The image, which Arrow star Stephen Amell shared on Twitter, shows Supergirl and Superman standing shoulder to shoulder in the middle of a street. The two look ready for action. Additionally, this version of Superman does not appear to be wearing the black suit seen in a set photo from earlier this month.
Although many details about the upcoming crossover are unknown, a number of actors are set to make their Arrowverse debuts, including Ruby Rose as Batwoman/Kate Kane and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. The event will also see the return of Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. The actor has not appeared as the character since the show's second season, though characters have made reference to him.
A poster for the event revealed Amell wearing the Flash’s outfit and Grant Gustin, who plays the Scarlet Speedster, dressed up like the Green Arrow.
“Elseworlds,” this year’s Arrowverse crossover event, will begin with The Flash on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 8 pm ET, continue with Arrow on Monday, Dec. 10 at 8 pm ET and end with Supergirl on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 pm ET.
