SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 3," the third installment of this year's Arrowverse crossover.

With Arrow coming to an end next year, the Arrowverse will have to find a replacement for the relationship between Green Arrow and The Flash, which has served as the backbone of The CW's superhero shows.

Luckily, "Crisis on Infinite Earths" showrunner Marc Guggenheim revealed on the Crisis: Aftermath program Tuesday night that two heroes will be positioned to fill the void: Supergirl and Batwoman.

Guggenheim teased that the friendship between Kara Danvers and Kate Kane that was established in last year's "Elseworlds" crossover will continue after Arrow comes to an end.

"While we honor the Barry and Oliver relationship, what’s been really, really nice is developing the relationship between Kara and Kate,” Guggenheim explained in an interview last week. "We really just teased it at the end of the ‘Elseworlds’ last year with the World’s Finest reference, but we really get a chance to dig deeper into that and have those two characters supporting each other much in the same way that Barry and Oliver have been supporting each other in previous crossovers.”

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" will return after the winter hiatus. The crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
