A new photo leaked from the set of The CW's "Elseworlds" crossover depicts the heroes of the Arrowverse fighting a villainous, black-clad Superman.
Arrow star Stephen Amell shared a photo earlier this month of Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin wearing a version of the Man of Steel's black costume introduced in 1993 in DC's "Reign of the Supermen." This photo would seem to confirm that Black Suit Superman is indeed a villainous doppelganger from an alternate reality.

The three-night event, also will introduce alternate versions of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen, both in which they swap superhero identities, and become the biker duo the Trigger Twins. "Elseworlds" also introduces Ruby Rose as Batwoman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, and LaMonica Garrett as the Monitor, a character best known to comics fans from DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths.
However, while there have been plenty of theories, and plenty of teases, about "Elseworlds," the plot of the crossover has remained largely under wraps, leaving fans to speculate about how all the pieces fit together.
"Elseworlds" kicks off Sunday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT with The Flash, and continues Monday, Dec. 10, with Arrow and Tuesday, Dec. 11, with Supergirl.
