The new seasons of The CW's various superhero shows are just starting and already fans can't wait for this December's Arrowverse crossover, "Elseworlds." If you've been keeping up with all the news about the event, then you know that it will be The CW's most ambitious, by far. We know that Ruby Rose will make her debut as Batwoman; we know that Superman and Lois Lane will both be involved; we know that we will pay a visit to Gotham City and Arkham Asylum; and we know that DC cosmic character the Monitor will also have a role to play in the event.

Plus, recent pictures have shown that Tyler Hoechlin's Superman will don a black version of his costume -- and this is without mentioning both Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin's respective characters dressed like they are both part of the same superhero biker gang. And, if all that weren't enough, the first official poster of "Elseworlds" also showed that Barry Allen and Oliver Queen will trade superhero identities, most likely in an alternate reality.

Now, after it was announced months ago, we finally have our first look at Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch's Lois Lane, courtesy of a new picture posted on Supergirl actress Melissa Benoist's Instagram account.

The caption of the photo clearly references the Arrowverse crossover, which leads us to believe that it was taken on the set of the "Elseworlds" shoot.

Hoechlin's Clark Kent, Benoist Kara Danvers and Tulloch's Lois Lane all share a warm embrace in front of a white fence that gives way to a wide field. Given the location seen on the picture, and the fact that all three of these characters are present, it's highly likely that this is our first look at the Kent farm, and that Superman's classic homestead will feature prominently in the crossover event.

Gotham City, now Smallville... could Metropolis be next?
