A pair of casting breakdowns for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event have reportedly been revealed. It seems that Kate Kane/Batwoman and Lois Lane won't be the only ones making their Arrowverse debut during the crossover, as these breakdowns tease the arrival of two more new faces.

One of these new characters appears to hail from Superman's home planet of Krypton, whereas the other will seemingly be a brand-new villain back on Earth. The casting breakdowns from That Hashtag Show are as follows:

[LON-EL] Male, 40s (with the potential to play older than their actual age), open ethnicity. A mysterious visitor who is from another planet and is both ambiguous, inscrutable and has the power that is teased as nearly infinite. Potential to appear for post-crossover episodes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl as well as Legends of Tomorrow, some as just a small cameo.

[DR. ELIAS KERN] Male, 30s, open ethnicity. A psychiatrist with his own mental health problems, Dr. Kern is a brutal sociopath who appears to be starting to lose his grip on reality. This recurring guest star will be present in all three episodes of the crossover.

As you may have noticed, no characters with these names actually appear in the DC comics. In turn, this has led to speculation regarding whether or not these are simply all-new characters created for television or if the names used in the casting breakdowns are simply covers for big-name players that The CW is trying to keep under wraps until the crossover airs.

Assuming it is the latter, That Hashtag Show reckons that Lon-El could actually be Superman's father, Jor-El, considering the Man of Steel himself is set to play a major role in this year's crossover. However, there are also other Kryptonians from multiple realities who could potentially fit the bill as Lon-El.

Additionally, Dr. Elias Kern's description mostly seems to fall in line with numerous different Batman villains, including Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, or Jeremiah Arkham (once again, assuming that the names used in the breakdowns are covers.)

Whether or not these characters are actually familiar faces from DC comics or brand-new to the lore, the fact remains that the heroes of the Arrowverse will certainly have their work cut out for them in this year's crossover event, considering that a being of immense power and a deranged psychiatrist are well on their way.
