The final season of Arrow will begin this October with a struggle to prevent the collapse of the multiverse. There's no doubt that the series, along with its wide cast of heroic characters, has evolved over the years. Oliver Queen began as the reckless billionaire and will end his story as a hero, a journey that has been shaped by others, including the former Canary, Sara Lance.
In a heartfelt tweet addressed to Arrow star Stephen Amell, actress Caty Lotz, who appeared as Canary in earlier seasons of Arrow before shifting over to DC's Legends of Tomorrow, looks back on her time with the show, tracing it to her success on her current series.
From the day we met in a parking lot in Burbank for a chemistry read, to swimming around in a sinking ships, dying, coming back to life, & all the shows he's helped usher in. Been a while ride & @StephenAmell helped me navagite it. Greatful to have been on this journey with you! pic.twitter.com/O9HWGFd5I9— Caity Lotz (@caitylotz) July 25, 2019
Lotz currently plays the White Canary on the Arrowverse spinoff ensemble show, in which she is a series regular, aiding her fellow Legends in saving the future from destruction. Her last interaction with the cast of Arrow took place in the Season 7 episode "Lost Canary." She is set to return some time during Season 8 for one last interaction with Oliver Queen and the others before their story comes to an end.
Returning Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
