From epic battles to classic team-ups, countless iconic events have taken place on the many shows set within the Arrowverse. The DC Comics TV universe began in 2012 with Arrow, but has since expanded to include several more shows and characters.

While some of its shows have already met their end, and others are set to conclude soon, the Arrowverse has established itself as a successful TV franchise, with additional seasons and new shows getting made quite frequently. Although it has some low points, much of the new content that the Arrowverse releases has plenty of moments for its fans to rewatch.

10 Over A Decade Later, Superman Returns... Again

2006 saw the release of Brandon Routh's Superman Returns, a continuation of the Christopher Reeve Superman films. Routh had since appeared in the Arrowverse as Ray Palmer, aka The Atom. During the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, he suited back up as the Man of Steel over a decade after Superman Returns.

Retroactively establishing his earth as Earth-96, Iris West-Allen, along with Lois Lane and Clark Kent of Earth-38, found Routh's Clark Kent to be the Paragon of Truth needed to combat the Anti-Monitor. The first time Routh appeared in his Superman costume was truly epic for fans to witness.

9 The Sacrifice Of The Flash Of Earth-90 Was Emotional For Fans To Watch Unfold

28 years after his first appearance as the character, John Wesley Shipp reprised his role from the 1990s series The Flash in the Arrowverse crossover "Elseworlds." The Flash of Earth-90 showed up once again the following year during the third episode of the CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths."

Grant Gustin's version of the Flash believed that he was destined to sacrifice himself during the Crisis, however, Barry Allen of Earth-90 took his place in order to save not only his doppelgänger but the entirety of Earth-1. An emotional clip from the 1990s series played during his final moments, sparking an emotional response from the fans.

Crisis on Earth-X Double Wedding

After years of questioning from the fans, the two most popular couples in the Arrowverse finally tied the knot in a double wedding during the closing moments of the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover. The beginning of the crossover event saw many of the heroes of the Arrowverse coming together to celebrate Barry and Iris's wedding.

However, the ceremony was interrupted when Nazis from Earth-X arrived and began wreaking havoc for the heroes. Once the threat was dealt with, Barry and Oliver ended up getting married to Iris and Felicity, respectively, with Diggle officiating their wedding.

7 The Flash & Supergirl's Musical Crossover Was Magical Fun For Fans

During the third season of The Flash and the second season of Supergirl, Mon-El and Martian Manhunter travel from Earth-38 to Earth-1 with an unconscious Supergirl. While Team Flash attempts to resuscitate Kara, Barry is attacked by the Music Meister, who proceeds to put Barry in a similar state of unconsciousness as Kara.

The two are then forced to share a dreamlike experience in which they sing and dance and learn lessons about love. The end of the episode saw Kara and Mon-El reconciling and Barry and Iris getting engaged.

6 Supergirl Meets The Flash For The First Time On Her Earth

During the first season of Supergirl, Grant Gustin appeared as the Flash on the show. At the time, Supergirl was airing on CBS and the show took place on Earth-38, causing the Flash to travel quite a distance for his appearance. The two heroes joined forces to take on the combined threat of Livewire and Silver Banshee, who had kidnapped Kara's boss, Cat Grant.

After helping to take down the villains, Kara helped Barry return to his earth. Even though it was an accident that these two characters met, fans are extremely grateful that they did.

5 Superman's First Appearance On Supergirl Introduced Tyler Hoechlin As The Man Of Steel

Five years before headlining Superman & Lois alongside Elizabeth Tulloch, Tyler Hoechlin first appeared as the Last Son of Krypton during the Season 2 premiere of Supergirl. Hoechlin's Superman returned for a few more episodes of Supergirl and also appeared in the "Elseworlds" and "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossovers.

His introduction as both Clark Kent and Superman filled fans with awe and excitement in being able to see the character in the Arrowverse. Fans will get to see a lot more of Hoechlin's Superman as Superman & Lois has already been renewed for a second season.

4 Barry's First Arrowverse Appearance Helped To Launch The Flash

Grant Gustin's Barry Allen showed up on Arrow during its 2nd season. He was visiting Starling City as a CSI investigating a break-in at Queen Consolidated when first he met Team Arrow. This monumental occasion began the friendship between Oliver and Barry as well as helped to influence Barry to become a hero.

After returning to Central City, Barry was struck by lightning and gained his superpowers, kicking off his journey on the spinoff show, The Flash, which just concluded its seventh season on the CW.

3 The Arrow Series Finale Sees John Diggle Discovering A Green Object

The series finale of Arrow brought with it several shocking and emotional moments, such as Oliver's funeral, the return of dead characters, and even a proposal. However, perhaps the most surprising moment was at the end of the episode when John Diggle stumbles upon a mysterious green object.

It has since been revealed that the glowing item was a power ring, most notably worn by members of the Green Lantern Corps. Even though Arrow is over, fans are hoping for Diggle's journey with the ring to continue on other Arrowverse shows.

2 The Heroes Of Earth-Prime Formed Their Own Justice League

The final moments of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover saw the formation of the Arrowverse's Justice League. Made up of the Flash, Supergirl, Superman, White Canary, Black Lightning, Martian Manhunter, and Batwoman, the team established an old S.T.A.R. Labs research facility as their base, known as the Hall of Justice.

Barry also revealed a round table with a seat for each of the team members with their superhero symbol, including an extra spot in honor of Oliver Queen. The scene respects Oliver's sacrifice while also hinting at future team-ups.

1 The CW Did The Impossible & Brought Together The Flash Of Two Worlds

The most surprising cameo during "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is one that fans cannot seem to get enough of. Taking place in the Arrow episode of the crossover, Grant Gustin's Barry Allen is traveling through the Speed Force when he encounters Ezra Miller's Barry Allen.

The Arrowverse and DCEU versions of the character interacted with each other for a few minutes before Miller's character disappeared. With Ezra Miller getting his own solo movie in 2022, fans are hoping Grant Gustin will make a cameo appearance.
