Arrowverse costume designer Andy Poon celebrated Batman Day with some new concept art of the Caped Crusader.

"Happy Batman Day again! Doing some adjustment and refinement on our Batman cowl sculpt with [Moor Park FX]," Poon wrote on Instagram. "Can’t wait to see the new version."

The shared art is not an official design, so there is no guarantee that we will see Batman in the Arrowverse any time soon. For years, fans have been begging The CW to bring Batman into the shared superhero universe and, while there have been a few Easter eggs here and there, nothing concrete has come to pass. However, Batman: The Animated Series' Kevin Conroy is set to appear in the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover as an older Bruce Wayne. Whether or not he will suit up as Batman or even be the classic version of Bruce Wayne is still unclear.

While Batman's Arrowverse future may be up in the air, Batwoman will join The CW's superhero lineup when it debuts on Oct. 6. The series will follow Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) as she takes up her lost cousin's mantle and becomes the Batwoman.

Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 6 and air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT.
