Announced this morning during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, the crossover will begin Monday, Nov. 27, with episodes of Supergirl and Arrow, followed Tuesday, Nov. 28, by The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The event sees Arrow move from its new Thursday time slot to Monday for one week only.

The 2016 crossover, "Invasion!," was spread across four nights, beginning with a brief introductory scene at the end of Supergirl's fall finale and continuing full force across the network's other three DC Comics-based dramas, which were then spread across three nights of programming.

“Last year was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything," President Mark Pedowitz told journalists, according to Deadline. "We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it a two two hour movies –a miniseries- we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people. Next year, we might go back to four nights.”

Last year's crossover propelled Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl to season-high ratings, and Legends of Tomorrow to a series high.
