Slade Wilson, the fan-favorite mercenary also known as Deathstroke, will seemingly have a big role in the upcoming sixth season of the CW's DC Comics-based superhero show Arrow. The character will have a two-part flashback episode and possibly have members of his family appear on the show in the upcoming season. While he has been mostly absent from the series since serving as the primary antagonist throughout Season 2, Manu Bennett, who plays the character, has released an image of himself as Wilson on his Instagram in preparation for the character's return.

The image shows Wilson sitting in a chair with an intense look on his face. Bennett wrote, "The Sun Never Sets #Arrow Season 6 #sladewilson #deathstroke." The post's location indicates that the photo was taken in Vancouver, which is where Arrow is primarily filmed.

Wilson last appeared in the Season 5 finale on Lian Yu. Oliver Queen recruits the character -- who is now Mirakuru-less and less hateful towards Oliver -- to help him defeat the villain Prometheus. The season ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the fate of much of the show's supporting cast in question.
