Olicity fans eagerly awaiting any solid news about the status of Oliver and Felicity's relationship in "Arrow" season five will have to wait a little longer. During the "Arrow" panel at New Jersey's Heroes & Villains FanFest, Stephen Amell kept things vague when asked about the fan favorite pairing -- although he made sure to point out that a romance isn't the only kind of relationship the pair can have on the show.

"I was chatting with a couple of fans earlier and they were saying there hasn't been a lot of positivity and reassuring notions when it comes to Oliver and Felicity's relationship," said Amell, as reported by TV Line. "I think that it's important to remember that relationships on the show don't have to be only defined by romance. Oliver and Felicity could have a wonderful, fulfilling, dynamic relationship and not be together, right?"

That comment was met with boos from the audience. "That wasn't a question, OK," added Amell, which a chuckle. "That's how the world works! So we will see where they are this year... I hope that they're both in a happy positive place. Whether that means they're together or not remains to be seen."

The panel's other big reveals included information that "Flash's" Cisco Ramon will make Diggle a new, less-Magneto-ish helmet, and news that Detective Lance will not be reinstated.

"Arrow" returns to the CW for season five on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 PM ET.
