As Arrow prepares to launch its eighth and final season, another fan-favorite, longtime character is poised to make her return.

Willa Holland, who starred ever since the start of the series as Oliver Queen's half-sister Thea, will return throughout Season 8 in a recurring role, as confirmed by showrunner Beth Schwartz. Holland officially left the main cast by Season 6 before making a guest appearance in Season 7.

The final season has confirmed the return of plenty of the series' original cast members, including Oliver and Thea's mother Moira and Thea's half-brother Tommy Merlyn in an unknown capacity, given both characters had met their untimely end early during the show's run.

Over the course of the series, Thea learned she was actually the daughter of Moira and Malcolm Merlyn, later trained by her biological father to become a lethal vigilante in her own right. Forming a romantic relationship with Roy Harper, Thea would later leave Star City to pursue her own path outside of Oliver's shadow.
