"Arrow," "The Flash" Ride Crossover Excitement to Major Ratings Bumps

Oliver Queen and Barry Allen's growing friendship and professional rivalry saw a record number of viewers tune in to the two CW series.

Fans were ready for The CW's big DC Comics superhero crossover, and with the ratings for the big "Arrow"/"The Flash" team-up now in, it's probably a safe bet that we'll see a similar event in the future.

After the latest episode of "The Flash" posted the series' second highest ratings ever -- it saw 4.2 million viewers tune in, with a 1.5 rating in adults 18-49 -- "Arrow" posted its highest rating in show history. According to EW.com, the second half of the crossover drew in 3.9 million viewers with a 1.4 among 18-49 year olds -- the series best performance ever in the coveted demo, and the second largest number of people to tune in to a single episode of the show.
