Arrow star Stephen Amell has revealed that he would be willing to reprise his role as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in some capacity following the series' upcoming final season.

"I owe so much to them," Amell said while speaking at MegaCon 2019 in Orlando, Florida. "So, if five years from now they're wrapping up Show X and they were like, 'You know what would be the cherry on top of the sundae? Would you come back?' What am I going to say? No?"

"It's a shitty idea that I'd say no," he continued. "You do what you can. I owe a lot to people, so if they need something from me, they can always have it."

Notably, Amell previously said, "Something tells me, even when I'm done, I won't be gone. If you've watched the Arrowverse, you should understand that." Additionally, the actor has referred to playing Arrow's lead character as "the greatest professional experience of my life." Amell has played the role of Oliver Queen since Arrow's premiere in late 2012.

It was early this past March that Amell confirmed Arrow Season 8 would be the long-running DC series' last. Season 7 came to an end roughly a week and a half ago with the episode "You Have Saved This City." Season 8 is set to debut on The CW in Fall 2019 and will be 10 episodes long.
