The CW network has announced that Liam Hall will play Joe Wilson, the son of renowned (but reformed) assassin Slade Wilson, when Arrow returns for its sixth season in October. Hall is best known for his role on Lucifer -- Hall played Edgar Romero in the episode “Monster.”

A two-part episode focusing on Slade Wilson’s past was teased at Comic Con International in San Diego back in July, the promise of which was recently rekindled when Arrow executive producer and co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim confirmed that the start of season six would focus heavily on the assassin.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Hall’s Joe Wilson will play a major role in his father’s arc. Viewers will meet Joe long after he has decided to follow his father’s footsteps. The son of Deathstroke will have joined the Australian military agency A.S.I.S., only to quickly find himself behind bars in a Kasnian prison and going by the alias Kane Wolfman.

Returning to the CW on Oct. 12, Arrow is a production of Berlanti Productions developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. The series stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, along with Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Manu Bennett, Echo Kellum and Josh Segarra.
