The end of Arrow’s fifth season basically shattered the show’s status quo with an island explosion harkening all the way back to the series’ premiere. It’s sounding like the show’s sixth season will act as a clean break, and the official trailer for the upcoming season only drives that likelihood home.

The trailer starts with a flashback to the island of Lian Yu, which was effectively destroyed in the season five finale that saw Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) go up against Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) in a fight to end what Adrian considered to be the vigilante reign of Green Arrow. Now, it seems that much of Adrian’s chilling prophecy delivered right before his death is coming to pass.

Adrian’s final words largely had to do with Oliver’s son, who looks to play a larger role in season six. Adrian was determined to make Oliver’s son see who his father really is – the Green Arrow, a vigilante crimefighter and not at all the man he purports to be. The trailer sees William (Jack Moore) referring to his father as a “bad man.” Meanwhile, life as Green Arrow is only getting more hectic as Black Canary is on the loose and ready to tear up Star City even further.

Debuting on the CW on Oct. 12, the sixth season of Green Arrow is a production of Bonanza Productions starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Manu Bennett, John Barrowman, Echo Kellum and Josh Segarra.
