At last, Stephen Amell is rocking Green Arrow's iconic goatee -- and he's not the only one.
On Twitter, the Arrow star posted a photo of himself and Tommy Merlyn actor Colin Donnell. In both, the actors show off their handlebar mustaches and matching goatees. In the comics, of course, Oliver Queen is known for his Robin Hood-esque facial hair. After eight years of playing the character, Amell appears to be giving the look a go.
At the time of writing, it is unclear if this specific look will make it onto the show or if Amell is simply having a bit of fun. His caption, "Meanwhile on Earth 71," suggests his new facial hair may have an in-story reason behind it; after all, Oliver is currently hopping around the multiverse as he completes missions for the Monitor in preparation for "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
Of course, that doesn't explain Donnell's new fashion choice. If the look does appear on Arrow, then it's possible Earth-71 is an Old West-type setting, which would explain how Tommy is not only alive, but why he chose this old fashioned style.
Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow's final season stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
