A hero will fall, but a legend will rise.

The CW has released an official poster for Arrow's eighth and final season. The image focuses solely on Oliver Queen, who appears as a floating head at the very top. Underneath, he stands with his back to the viewer. Both are set against a sunset, symbolic of the vigilante's waning time in the Arrowverse.

"Heroes fall. Legends rise," promises the tagline, which is positioned above the series logo and premiere date.

Arrow will close out with a 10-episode final season. The Arrow series finale will not be part of the five-show "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover. That will take place during Arrow Season 8's eighth episode, then the series will wrap up in episodes 9 and 10 to give it "a proper series finale."

Returning Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
