"Arrow" Season 5 will be honoring the brief, heroic life of Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) after her demise in Season 4 of the hit CW series.

Writer-producer Marc Guggenheim unveiled the following piece of production art on Twitter, indicating that Star City will be memorializing Laurel Lance in the form of a statue at some point in the next season:

While it looks like Laurel won't be back as Black Canary, that doesn't necessarily count out alternate-Earth versions of the character -- like Black Siren, also played by Cassidy, who showed up on "The Flash" -- appearing at some point down the road...

The next season of "Arrow" has a lot of changes in store, including the addition of Rick Gonzalez as the anti-hero Wild Dog, Josh Segarra as the hero who will become Vigilante, Madison McLaughin in a recurring role as Artemis and Chad Coleman as a new gangster character created for the series named Tobias Church.

"Arrow" returns for its fifth season Wednesdays this fall on the CW.
