Since "Arrow's" fourth season kicked off with a flashforward scene set in a graveyard, fans have spent all season long waiting to find out just who is marked for death. The scene has caused much speculation, and so far only Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen have been confirmed as surviving this "Arrow" season.

This week, "Arrow" viewers will finally get the answer to their question. The episode "11:59" will definitively reveal who is in the casket, as executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle told the Hollywood Reporter.

"This is the episode where you find out who's in the grave," Guggenheim told reporters following a screening of this Wednesday's episode. "Dead is not goodbye," he added, while also acknowledging that the death is permanent.

"It's going to be huge and significant," said Mericle. "There's no question that it is going to be shocking. It was a shocking thing for us to process and to write the aftermath. We really wanted to make sure that we did it in a way that was very honorable and gave us space to honor all the characters' various reactions to it. The episodes we've written in the aftermath are devastating. They're meant to be. We wanted to explore that and have everybody feel the impact of this loss."

Both also added that while the "Arrow" writers didn't want to kill of the character, it had to be done in order to pay off what's been set in motion this season. "It is a game changer in a very sad way that we're losing a beloved character but also in the sense of it's going to open up new storytelling avenues and will force our characters to rethink their decisions and their objectives," said Mericle.

"Arrow" airs on Wednesdays at 8 PM ET on the CW.
