WARNING: This article contains spoilers for this week's episode of Arrow, "Tribute," which premiered Thursday on The CW.

The big surprise in this week's episode of Arrow wasn't Oliver Queen's mention of Bruce Wayne -- namely, because The CW revealed that scene on Wednesday -- but instead the introduction of a new Green Arrow. While that might seem like a development the network would want to keep under wraps for at least another day or two, the promo for next week's episode lets loose with the spoiler, depicting a familiar face in his new costumed identity.

In "Tribute," Oliver (Stephen Amell) decided to retire as the protector of Star City for the sake of his son, and, as we see in this new TV spot, asked John Diggle to take up the mantle. "You can be a better hero than I ever was," Oliver says to his longtime friend and ally.

Wasting no time, Dig suits up, and introduces himself in the promo for "Next of Kin" as the Green Arrow. However, it may take Team Arrow a little time to become accustomed to the new status quo, and the new boss.

As we noted last night, Dig's acceptance of the new mantle, and the responsibilities attached to it, comes even as it was revealed he suffers from degenerative nerve damage following his injury in the explosion on Lian Yu. It leaves him with a slight tremor that compromises his aim, and plants the seed of self-doubt.

John Diggle debuts as the new Green Arrow in the Arrow episode "Next of Kin," airing Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
