Arrow Teases A New Team in Mid-Season Debut

There's a new power dynamic in Star City when Arrow returns for its mid-season premiere.

The midseason finale for Arrow concluded on a rather grim note for Team Arrow. After learning that Wild Dog sold out his secret identity in exchange for custody of his daughter, Oliver Queen kicked him off the team. Quickly after, Black Canary and Mr. Terrific departed as well, both of them due to simmering issues between Diggle and Felicity, respectively. Though the new blood of Team Arrow has left, they aren't going to just kick back and relax.

When Arrow returns with new episodes on Jan. 18, there'll simply be two Team Arrows operating, though the newbies probably won't be called that. Both groups will be working towards the same goal of bringing down Cayden James and saving Star City. Which is just as well, as James' ranks include the evil Black Siren, Vigilante and Richard Dragon, and all of them have been keeping tabs on the Team's exploits for some time now. Oliver's Team Arrow trinity will briefly have an ally in Roy Harper's Arsenal for a few episodes, but eventually, the two teams will have to come together to face their common enemy.

Premiering Thursday nights on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Rick Gonzalez, Juliana Harkavy, Katie Cassidy, and Paul Blackthorne.
