Former Arrow star Katie Cassidy said she would love to return to the world of superheroes -- but not as Black Canary.

In a new episode of the Geek House Show YouTube series, the show's host asked if there were any other licensed characters the actor would like to portray. Cassidy revealed, "Yes, Catwoman. I've always been a big fan. Michelle Pfeiffer killed it as Catwoman. I also happen to be a big fan of cats." She went on to explain that she also thinks it "would be really cool to play The Joker, but as a woman," noting, "I think I'd make a pretty good Joker."

As the interviewer pointed out, a female version of the Joker appears in the Flashpoint timeline from DC Comics. In that story, Martha Wayne -- aka the mother of Bruce Wayne/Batman -- stepped into the role of an alternate incarnation of the original Joker. She often operated with an MO relating to comedy-related crimes.

Cassidy played the roles of Laurel Lance/Black Canary/Black Siren on The CW's Arrow from 2012-2020. While the original incarnation of Cassidy's character -- Earth-1 Laurel -- died in Season 4, Episode 18 ( "Eleven-Fifty-Nine") the character was later revived as a doppelganger from Earth-2 known as the villainous Black Siren. She also made appearances as the character on episodes of The Flash from 2015-2018.

When Arrow ended earlier this year, it did it while also setting up a potential Green Arrow and the Canaries spinoff -- which would follow the heroic adventures of Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake in the year 2040.

"I like to think I have a little bit of clairvoyance," Cassidy said during a video interview shortly after Arrow wrapped. "So I do feel like, to me -- this is just how I feel -- before I was just like, 'I don't know, I don't know,' and now there's this time in this world and who knows when but I feel, it feels good to me for whatever reason."

Back in August, Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim gave an update about Green Arrow & the Canaries, saying at the time, "I'm not entirely sure if there's another chapter to be had at this moment in time." The latest episode of Geek House Show was recorded in the aftermath of Speedy Comics Con, the first-ever virtual Comic Con in the Middle East, which took place Nov. 14.
