Katie Cassidy’s Black Siren is at it again in the latest set of pictures released for the upcoming episode of the CW’s Arrow. Cassidy again dons the mantle of Black Siren in “Missing,” the episode slated to air on May 17.

The episode will see a seemingly discouraged Adrian Chase actually organizing hits on various members of Team Arrow, all with the help of Black Siren and Malcolm Merlyn. Adrian has long been known by his villainous alter ego, Prometheus, the ruthless arrow-slinger who stopped at nothing to rid Star City of the series’ main protagonist, Oliver Queen, otherwise known as Green Arrow.

Adrian held such an vicious and unyielding grudge against Green Arrow because he held the vigilante hero responsible for the death of his crime boss father. As Prometheus, Adrian has consistently proven himself to be more than a match for Team Arrow, displaying time and time again that he is one step ahead of the crew. His one weakness, though? His father, of course.

Oliver was able to exploit Adrian’s insecurity about his father in last night’s episode of Arrow, convincing the villain that his father thought he was insane and had actively sought to disown him. While it appeared that Adrian finally stood down, the latest images hint at him being out on the prowl again, recruiting other villains to do his work while he is out of the game.

Black Siren is actually Laurel Lance, a meta-human criminal from Earth Two. Played by Cassidy, Black Siren actually first appeared in season two of The Flash in an episode titled “Invincible.” Laurel knew Oliver prior to his disappearance and presumed death. After it was widely believed Oliver had died – and prior to his returning as The Hood, later the Green Arrow – Laurel moved to Central City, where she was exposed to dark matter from Harrison Wells’ particle accelerator.

The dark matter affected Laurel deeply, giving her the ability to produce destructive sound waves with her vocal chords. Laurel would later partner with the villain Hunter Zolomon, who terrorized Earth Two citizens after the particle accelerator incident and eventually sought to conquer Earth One. Black Siren would also eventually be forced to work with Prometheus in his unending quest to rid the world of Green Arrow. Judging by the latest batch of pictures, that’s a tradition that continues to this day.

Debuting on May 17, the Arrow episode “Missing” will air on the CW network at 8 pm PT/7 pm CT. Arrow stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Manu Bennett, John Barrowman, Echo Kellum and Josh Segarra.
