It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that "Vigilante" -- tonight's new episode of "Arrow" -- features the arrival of, well, a new vigilante. If you're familiar with the comics, then you probably also have some idea who might be behind the mask. In the source material, Adrian Chase -- Star City's District Attorney -- took up the Vigilante mantle to seek justice for his family’s murder by mobsters. Prior to Vigilante's "Arrow" debut, Josh Segarra discussed how the show adapts those comics faithfully, when he will interact with new characters and more.

"I don't want to say too much -- I'm actually really excited to surprise everybody -- but we get to meet Vigilante," he confirmed. "I know what's been important to me is that when I watch something that's based off of a literary script, I'm excited to see the parts I imagined in my head the most, so when I started reading 'Vigilante' comics there were of course parts that I was just like, 'Oh my god, I hope I get to do this!' or 'I hope I get to go down this road!' And so far, I'm getting to do a lot of those things. Episode 7, when you finally meet Vigilante, it's a pretty exciting time I think for Chase and for the Vigilante."

That doesn't mean that Chase will leave the DA's office behind. "Yeah, you know, I think we're going to be trying to figure out how to clean this city," he shared. "That's been the most fun about this journey is that, you know, being a fan of the show, you get to see what Oliver goes through. So I kind of, in a way, get to be a fresh start. Obviously, Adrian is obviously coming from a lifetime ahead of this before you meet him in the episode, but it's fun to kind of come into this world in real life, as Josh, but also as Adrian -- come into the city and see what we can do and meet all these new characters."

As to whether or not we'll see him interact with some new characters sometime soon, he added, "Absolutely. Yeah, I was dying to meet other characters too! I was like, 'Dude, Steve [Amell], you're cool and all, man, but where's [David] Ramsey over here?!' Chase starts getting a little bit more involved into the rest of the world, so right now -- you know -- getting to meet some important folks and you'll see where he sits later on."

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, "Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman, Willa Holland and more.
