The CW released a synopsis for the upcoming series finale of Arrow and the the one-hour special preceding that episode.

Titled "Fadeout," the Arrow finale synopsis teases the return of Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, who has been absent since the Season 7 finale. That synopsis is quite vague, though the one for the "Arrow: Hitting the Bullseye" special teases interviews with the show's cast and crew. Both shows will air January 28. You can see the synopsis for both "Fadeout" and the "Arrow: Hitting the Bullseye" special below.

STEPHEN AMELL SIGNS OFF AS THE GREEN ARROW; EMILY BETT RICKARDS RETURNS FOR THE SERIES FINALE OF “ARROW” – After eight seasons, and the launch of countless superheroes, the series wraps up the story of the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Emily Bett Rickards returns as Felicity. James Bamford directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Beth Schwartz (#810). Original airdate 1/28/2020.

Premiering in 2012, Arrow was the first of CW's shows based on DC Comics' various superheroes and the flagship show of the Arrowverse. Although Oliver Queen/Green Arrow died during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, he's expected to return as The Spectre. Prior to his death, he made Mia Smoak -- his daughter -- the new Green Arrow. Arrow's penultimate episode, "Green Arrow and the Canaries," will serve as a backdoor pilot for a series of the same name.

Returning Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
