As Oliver Queen faces his last adventure in Arrow's final season, the Emerald Archer won't go quietly into the impending Crisis without the surprise return of several familiar faces.
In an exclusive interview with CBR, Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz confirmed that virtually all of the final season's eight episodes will feature guest stars from seasons past making reprising their roles for the DCTV series.
"[We're] trying to squeeze all the characters we can that we want to see for the last time," she explained. "Almost every episode -- if not every episode -- there's a fun surprise guest from previous seasons."
Oliver's mother Moira Queen and his long-departed best friend Tommy Merlyn are both slated to return in the Season 8 premiere, while other guest stars, including Talia al Ghul and John Constantine, have been teased through promotional materials and behind-the-scenes photos. With eight episodes in the final season, it will be interesting to see which characters return for one last ride.
Returning Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow's final season stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
