Season 8 of Arrow will be a walk down memory lane, as much of the season takes place outside of Star City.
CBR spoke with Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz about the upcoming final season of the series, and she revealed that previous locations will be revisited. According to Schwartz, "we visit places that we’ve gone to in our previous seasons, so they’ll take place in different locations. I think we only have maybe one or two episodes in Star City.”
Arrow has never been shy about leaving the confines of Star City. From the desolate island where Oliver spent many of his years to far-flung locales like Russia, the show is often a globetrotting adventure. Still, Star City -- and Oliver's mission to protect it -- have remained central to the series. As such, it's surprising to learn how little of the final season will take place within city limits.
It won't just be old locations that will make a reappearance either. We know many familiar faces will be back for Season 8 of the show. Thea and Talia al Ghul will return, and Oliver will once again meet Constantine, who is alongside Oliver's future daughter. And all that's before "Crisis on Infinite Earths" blows open the doors of the Arrowverse and introduces new (and old) DC characters.
Returning Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Katie Cassidy as Black Siren, Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak, Joseph David-Jones as Connor Hawke and Ben Lewis as William Clayton-Queen.
