It's no secret that Caity Lotz, who played Sara Lance in the first two seasons of "Arrow," will be making a return to The CW's DC Universe, as she was announced to star in the "Arrow"/"Flash" spinoff, "Legends of Tomorrow," as early as February. However, the manner of her resurrection has been much more hush-hush. Now, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim has teased that "Arrow" would deal directly with the subject and that it may involve the new Ra's al Ghul in some capacity.
"Ray didn't explode in a catastrophic explosion and Sara needs to not be dead," he said, confirming what many already knew. However, he added that Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) -- the new Ra's al Ghul -- has "got a strong point of view on [that]."
"It's going to be handled head-on," he added. "We're doing a really great episode that really tackles the question of Sara, death and resurrection. On 'Arrow,' nothing is easy, so it's not as simple as dumping her in the water."
In an earlier interview, he also mentioned, "The White Canary will be launched in the first few episodes of Arrow... 4x08, our typical crossover episode, will be doing a lot of heavy-lifting in terms of getting the 'Legends of Tomorrow' characters set up and also seeing where they are with relation to 'The Flash.' It's a big episode."
