Arrow Season 7 saw series regular Felicity Smoak leave both the show's present and future timelines. Actor Emily Bett Rickards has now revealed if she'd reprise her role as the character, and it sounds like fans shouldn't hold out hope.
In an interview with Collider, Rickards was asked about possibly returning. She said, " I feel like Felicity has done her time. I don’t know if anybody is going to like what I’m saying, but I feel like Felicity has done her time. We knew this was coming for awhile – for over a year – so the whole thing is exactly what we wanted to happen. I trust the writers, and that’s in their hands."
Rickards went on to explain that she didn't want to mess up the goodbye she had at the end of Season 7, which saw Oliver Queen departing with The Monitor in advance of next year's Crisis on Infinite Earths event. However, Rickards comments do leave open the possibility that, if the Arrowverse's writers choose to bring her back for some reason, that she might end up returning.
Arrow returns for its eighth and final season on Tuesdays this fall. The show stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen.
