SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Brothers & Sisters," the latest episode of Arrow.

Emiko Queen's intentions may not be what they seem. "Brothers & Sisters," the latest episode of Arrow, revealed she has been working with the series' new Big Bad all along.

In the episode, Ricardo "The Dragon" Diaz led A.R.G.U.S. straight to Dante, a villain so powerful that even Diaz fears him. The mission quickly went awry, with Diaz tipping Dante off about A.R.G.U.S.' incoming attack. In the ensuing battle, Dante went toe-to-toe with Oliver and Lyla. He quickly proved himself a skilled fighter, matching Oliver blow-for-blow and even plucking his arrows out of the air. His prowess enabled him to take them both by surprise and escape.

Nevertheless, he didn't go very far. At the end of the episode, he surprised Emiko at her bunker. When she told him he shouldn't be there, he simply replied, "Is that any way to greet an old friend?" Without waiting for a response, he continued. "I hear you and Oliver Queen are getting along quite well," he mused.

"He trusts me now," she replied, to which he said, "Good. The timing couldn't be better. It's time for you to come home."

Emiko's exchange with Dante implies that she hasn't been entirely forthcoming with Rene Ramirez and her half-brother Oliver. Indeed, her story about her mother's death could be a cover, used to elicit sympathy from Team Arrow. After all, when she debuted in 2013's Green Arrow #18 by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino, she was introduced as the daughter of Robert Queen and Shado, an assassin.

What's more, Emiko's mother worked with the Ninth Circle in the comics. Introduced in 2016's Green Arrow: Rebirth #1 by Benjamin Percy and Otto Schmidt, the Ninth Circle is an international crime ring comprised of corrupt executives. Appropriately, their base of operations is called the Inferno and the organization is led by Dante, all of which are references to the the epic poem The Inferno by Dante Alighieri. By introducing Dante, it seems Arrow plans to explore this villainous organization in Season 7.

As such, Emiko's mother may not be dead. She may be held captive by Dante's organization or perhaps even work with them willingly. After all, Dante told Emiko to come "home," which implies she was raised by or trained with him. Regardless of the truth behind her backstory, the scene spells trouble for Oliver and his friends. Seeing as Dante wants Emiko in Oliver's good graces, he likely has a nasty surprise waiting for the Emerald Archer.

Airing Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW, Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Colton Haynes as Arsenal, Kirk Acevedo as Diaz and Katie Cassidy as Black Siren.
